The remarkable success of DiGiCo’s SD7 is continuing, unabated. It is fast becoming globally recognised as the ultimate digital mixing console, gaining a foothold in another new territory - Spain.
DiGiCo’s Spanish distributor, Meyer Sound España has already achieved huge success with the DiGiCo Series and has recently supplied an SD7 to Madrid-based rental company Fluge, with the console soon being put to work on a major 2008-09 tour by top Spanish pop rockers El Canto Del Loco.
Fluge has previously invested in DiGiCo D1s and D5s, and it was this positive experience which gave them the confidence to invest in the SD7, safe in the knowledge that the performance of DiGiCo’s most highly-specified product will more than live up to its technical specification.
“We have owned DiGiCo consoles for a number of years and we believe they are great quality products,” says Germán Rodriguez, one of Fluge’s senior technical engineers.
“With the SD7, DiGiCo has taken the evolution of the D1 and D5 to the next step and, with my own confidence in its consoles, adding the SD7 to our inventory was a natural step. It has tremendous versatility and potential.”
Fluge’s engineers have enjoyed a straightforward transition to the new console, thanks to its operational similarity to the other DiGiCo products, and have described its performance with a memorable simile: “It goes like a rocket!”
“DiGiCo offers the very best service and we are really looking forward to using the SD7’s facilities on tour,” says Rodriguez.
“The SD7 is an incredible console with lots of features - it’s a quantum leap forward in pro audio,” adds Fernando Delgado, Technical Support Engineer with Meyer Sound España.
“Its quality is superb and DiGiCo’s technical support couldn’t be better - the entire team behind it is incredible.”
